Our Mission: Elevating the Standard of Care
At Mental Health Training and Consulting, we believe that every clinician deserves access to high-quality, practical training that actually makes a difference in the room. We bridge the gap between theory and practice by providing local, in-person workshops and dynamic online experiences that are as engaging as they are informative.
Our Core Pillars:
Relevant & Relatable: We deliver training that is cost-effective and immediately applicable to your clinical work.
Professional Community: We provide a sanctuary for consultation—a safe, collaborative space for case conceptualization, liability management, and peer connection.
Future-Focused Mentorship: We are committed to the next generation of healers, offering compassionate, high-level supervision for LPC-Associates and LMFT-Associates as they navigate the path to full licensure.
Mary Lauren Fox, LPC-Supervisor, LMFT-Supervisor
EMDRIA Approved Consultant and Trainer
With over 15 years of clinical experience, Mary Lauren is passionate about creating natural, supportive, and engaging environments for therapists to learn and grow.
She believes that EMDR training shouldn't feel like a corporate seminar. Instead, her approach focuses on community, connection, and real-world application in comfortable, inviting spaces that foster deep learning and personal growth. She brings a wealth of expertise as an EMDRIA Consultant, Trainer, and dual-licensed Supervisor.
With a career rooted in supporting traumatized children and families, Mary Lauren now serves university students, specializing in sexual assault, trauma, and distress management. Her systemic, attachment-focused approach is grounded in the belief that while multi-faceted conflict can overwhelm our ability to function, a single healthy change can ripple through every aspect of a person's life.
Beyond the therapy room, Mary Lauren is passionate about cultivating the next generation of clinicians. In her supervision and training, she moves beyond technical skills to foster the "whole professional"—building self-efficacy, encouraging authenticity, and providing the grace necessary for true clinical growth.
